Dear Mother Nature,
Last spring, it rained for three weeks straight. The temperature hovered consistently near 50 degrees and it rained. That lasted until June. I’d hardly call it “spring” at all, since I’d nearly started building my ark when the rains cleared and the temperature skyrocketed to 80 or higher. It went from late winter to the height of summer in the blink of an eye.
Now, you see, the 80 degree temperatures and blinding sunshine have disappeared just as quickly to be replaced with the same temperatures and rains that ended this year’s so-called spring. I expect that it will snow by Halloween.
Is it humanity’s fault? Climate change, global warming, what you will? How can we fix it?
I shouldn’t be complaining about cold and rain when there are droughts, fires, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods around the world…none of which affect me, but I am. Couldn’t it just be FALL for a little while?
